Visited the WDS (World Defense Show) in Saudi Arabia.

Tomoki Takimoto, the Representative Director, visited Riyadh from February 3 to 6, 2024, to attend the World Defense Show (WDS) at the invitation of the Acquisition, Technology and Logistics Agency of Japan.

[Purpose of Visit]

Future Quest is developing CoastaLink, a platform for seamless and centralized digital communication at sea. The technology, mechanisms, and international laws and regulations underpinning it have piqued maritime professionals’ interest in both the civilian and defence sectors. After confirming with officials from the Saudi government, we learned that our communication platform will also gain attention from a foreign country. The Saudi government has set a target of manufacturing 50% of its  armed forces’ equipment domestically by the year 2030.

[Comments from Representatives]

Tomoki Takimoto, Representative Director, commented:

I am grateful to Japan’s Acquisition, Technology and Logistics Agency for providing us with this valuable learning opportunity. All the technologies used in defence are at the forefront of innovation, and the field of maritime communications is no exception. I left Saudi Arabia with the thought that our communication platform, using the most advanced civilian technology, could extend beyond the field’s borders.
