Every fiscal year, a public call for research topics contributing to the resolution of policy issues in the transport and traffic sector is conducted, and outstanding research topics among those proposed are commissioned for research and development.
This time, the public call was carried out from July 14 to August 21 of the fifth year of Reiwa, under the theme of “Technology Research and Development Leading to New Value Creation in the Transport and Traffic Sector through Digitalization and Smartification for Workstyle Reform and Productivity Improvement.” Evaluations were made by an external expert committee and reviews were based on administrative needs.
